Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 and valid driver’s license.
• Must possess or obtain TWIC credential.
• EMT-B credential with CPR/AED certification.
• NFPA 1001 Firefighter I/II or NFPA 1081 credential.
• Ability to meet physical agility requirements and pass fitness tests.
• Experience with standard fire suppression procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to fires in a timely, safe, and skilled manner using hose/nozzle work and tools.
• Administer first aid to injured parties per training level.
• Conduct monthly fire protection checks on extinguishers and interior valves.
• Issue and audit hot work permits daily and perform related audits.
• Safely operate company vehicles and equipment per policy.
• Perform routine maintenance on fire and rescue apparatus; keep gear serviceable.
