Job summary

WACKER in Charleston, TN, is seeking a Firefighter for our onsite fire department. You will respond to a variety of fire, EMS, and non-emergency calls, perform fire suppression, and support safety standards throughout the plant.

The position requires a valid Fire Fighter I & II certificate, Advanced EMT license, CPR, and a strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform heavy manual labor. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• Fire Fighter I & II certification is required.
• Advanced EMT license is required; CPR certification is needed.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies and protect life and property.
• Provide EMS according to licensure and protocol.
• Assist in fires, accidents, floods, and hazardous spills.
• Perform fire suppression, ventilation, overhaul, and salvage.
• Conduct search and rescue as part of a team.
• Maintain personal safety and inspect department equipment.
• Prepare statistical and analytical reports as required.
• Participate in training, drills, and physical fitness activities.
