Qualifications

• Valid state Driver’s License; DUI within last 5 years is disqualifying.
• NFPA 1001 Firefighter I with Hazardous Materials-Operations.
• Advanced EMT certification.
• CPR/AED certification.
• NIMS IC-100, IC-200, IC-700, IC-800 completed at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the activities of an assigned shift.
• Ensure fire/EMS support for controlling and extinguishing fires; rescue operations and medical/EMS responses as needed.
• Maintain department CQI and participate in training and inspections.
• Lead, supervise, and discipline personnel; manage logs, emergencies, overtime, and injury reports.
• Provide expertise in fire prevention, suppression, and incident command; maintain station and equipment readiness.
