Job summary

Luttrell Staffing Group is seeking a Final Quality Control Inspector for the Forge Shop in Surgoinsville, TN. This role focuses on inspecting steel forgings for defects and ensuring compliance with quality specifications.

This full-time, temp-to-hire position offers weekly pay, insurance options, a quick start date, and opportunities for advancement within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Ability to read measuring tools accurately.
• Must pass safety and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect rough steel forgings for surface and sub-surface defects, hardness, and specification compliance.
• Operate equipment including shotblast machine, grinders, belt sanders, drill machine, degreasing machine, signature machine, and forklift.
• Remove defects, degrease, engrave codes on acceptable forgings, and segregate rejects.
• Transport forgings, load inspected parts into shipping boxes, and maintain equipment in good condition.
• Follow supervisor instructions, safety procedures, company policies, and keep work area clean and organized.
• Record inspection data from work cards and complete related tasks as assigned.

• Operate equipment including shotblast machine, grinders, belt sanders, drill machine, degreasing machine, signature machine, and forklift
• Remove defects, degrease, engrave codes on acceptable forgings, and segregate rejects
• Transport forgings, load inspected parts into shipping boxes, and maintain equipment in good condition
• Follow supervisor instructions, safety procedures, company policies, and keep work area clean and organized
• Record inspection data from work cards and complete related tasks as assigned

Job Requirements

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
• Must have math skills, accurately read measuring tools and be able to match up paperwork for certain positions
• Must be able to move dies from one area to another area of department for certain positions
• Must have steel toes and met guards
• Diploma/GED
