Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Richmond, VA is seeking a Field Technician to perform troubleshooting, installation, and testing of actuators and field devices at various locations. The role requires reading wiring diagrams.

On-the-job training is provided; mechanical and electrical work experience is preferred. Candidates must be able to travel, follow English instructions, and document activities per MP2 procedures.

Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance experience with mechanical and/or electrical actuators is a plus.
• Electrical experience with high and low voltage (AC/DC).
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Proven track record of strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Must be able to receive and understand verbal and written technical instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform program changes and testing remote indications and controls to PLC and PMS.
• Troubleshoot repairs of Controls, Process Controllers, Control Cabinets, Power Supplies and other field devices.
• Perform skilled maintenance activities including material handling equipment troubleshooting and repair.
• Maintain building, equipment, shop and storage areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Complete work orders for work performed and include parts and inventory used.
• Document all work order activities to MP2 requirements, providing documented records of the activities performed.
• Follow lockout-tag out procedures, confined space procedures, and other safety and environmental procedures and policies as required.
• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing work in all operational and Facilities areas, depending upon the immediate needs of the department.
