Job summary

Markem-Imaje in the United States is seeking a self-motivated Field Service Representative with experience in industrial automation to deliver solutions for our customers. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain installed bases while identifying opportunities to improve performance and uptime.

Responsibilities include new equipment installations, on-site training, and supporting contract service; you will collaborate with sales for demos and service activities, travel as required, and uphold

Qualifications

• BA of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
• 3-5 years Mission-critical field service-related experience a plus.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical system theory and operation.

Responsibilities

• Performing general field service repair and maintenance activities required to support Markem‑Imaje customers and installed machine base.
• Resolving operational issues in the field.
• Identifying any issues and performing troubleshooting procedures.
• Determining customer needs and offering recommendations.
• Contributing to business growth and sustainment through technical involvement, influence, and teamwork.
• New equipment installations, customer training, emergency and routine repair, contract sales and maintenance and any other service‑related activities as directed by management.
• Determining and recommending which products or services best fit the customers’ needs.
• Developing and maintaining technical and operational competency on Markem‑Imaje products through study, training, hands on use and field exposure to customer applications.
• Required to successfully complete product training courses and demonstrate a minimum competency level as defined by management.
• Achieving and maintaining a level of customer satisfaction consistent with Markem‑Imaje quality guidelines and objectives.
• Collaborating and teamworking with sales members to assist with machine demos, installations, technical training, courtesy calls, customer communication and follow up activities.
