Job summary

Mass. Electric Construction Co. within MEC Industrial District seeks an Engineer II to support field and office engineering, estimating and project controls on infrastructure construction.

The role requires traveling and relocation as needed, strong communication and detail orientation, and a proactive, safety-minded approach. You will interpret drawings, prepare takeoffs, assist in schedules and cost tracking, and help prepare submittals and change orders under the Project Manager.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' construction field experience.
• Undergraduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Ability to read and analyze engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Willingness to travel and relocate as needed.
• Strong ethics, safety mindset and initiative.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and material takeoffs from drawings.
• Support field surveying, layout, and as-built data collection.
• Prepare work plans, packages, and purchase orders.
• Aid in scheduling, cost tracking, and submittals.
