Job summary

MSI Express, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Technician III to perform routine and preventive maintenance in our Illinois facility. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in a relevant trade (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) preferred.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and advanced problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, and perform physical tasks as required.
• Advanced computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems.
• Perform complex troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Lead and/or perform the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, and building infrastructure.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and report any issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Provide training, mentorship, and guidance to entry-level and intermediate technicians.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and services.
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols to enhance efficiency.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
