Job summary

Daily's Premium Meats is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair ammonia and wastewater systems and related plant utilities. The role includes facility beautification, grounds upkeep, and adherence to safety and environmental regulations.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED with RETA/HAZMAT/CARO/CIRO certifications and 2 years of ammonia or HVAC/R experience. Strong reading, math and English communication skills are required.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED is encouraged.
RetA certification, HAZMAT, CARO/CIRO certifications preferred.
Two years operating anhydrous ammonia systems OR HVAC/R experience required.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, blueprints and diagrams.
Reading, writing and speaking English; bilingual Spanish preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Learn to interpret equipment manuals, drawings, schematics, blueprints, and work orders for maintenance tasks.
Diagnose problems and replace parts as needed.
Adjust devices and control systems.
Maintain ammonia refrigeration and wastewater systems and related components.
Maintain facility repairs and beautification and complete daily preventive maintenance.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and local regulations.
Collaborate to develop Process Safety Management (PSM) and RPM programs.
Operate and maintain facility HVAC systems and electrical systems.
Follow safety rules and maintain accurate records.
Other duties as assigned by management.
