Job summary

Daily's Premium Meats LLC seeks a Facility Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on ammonia and wastewater systems and other plant utilities. The role includes cosmetic upkeep, safety program support, and adherence to 5S practices.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, RETA/HAZMAT preferred, and experience with ammonia/HVAC systems. Strong reading of manuals and blueprints, and the ability to work with safety requirements, are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• RETA certification and/or HAZMAT certification preferred
• Two years experience with ammonia systems or HVAC/R
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend safety rules and procedures, and to work in English (Spanish helpful)

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret manuals, schematics, blueprints, and work orders to perform maintenance
• Diagnose problems and repair or replace parts as needed
• Adjust various devices and control systems
• Maintain ammonia refrigeration and wastewater systems and troubleshoot as needed
• Perform daily preventive maintenance and document tasks completed
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations
• Collaborate with Utility Supervisor to develop PSM and RPM programs
• Operate and maintain facility HVAC systems
• Keep accurate and timely work records
• Adhere to safety rules and promote clean, safe facilities
