Job summary

The Jamar Company is seeking an experienced Industrial Estimator/Project Manager in Bismarck, ND, to shape complex projects from concept to execution. You will develop accurate estimates, review drawings, and collaborate with clients, engineers, and vendors to drive value and risk management.

This full-time, on-site role requires a strong background in industrial mechanical systems and a track record of delivering well-supported proposals.

Qualifications

• Three years estimating experience with industrial mechanical systems, drawings, specs, and techniques.
• Two-year degree in Mechanical or CAD Drafting, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field OR five years industrial construction experience.
• Proficient with MS Office and industry-related estimating software; able to learn new tools quickly.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with multiple projects and deadlines.
• Previous project management experience is strongly preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual, budgetary, and detailed estimates for complex industrial projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and project requirements to define scope and cost.
• Prepare proposals and evaluate project risks, cost impacts, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, project teams, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Negotiate and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing to identify best value.
• Maintain accurate estimating data and documentation while supporting a smooth project handoff.
