Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking an Estimator to join our CapEX Team in Houston, TX. The Estimator will prepare cost estimates and proposals by analyzing drawings, specifications, and documentation for various projects.

This non-exempt role reports to the VP of Estimating and requires attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Essential qualifications include industrial estimating experience, proficiency with Google Workspace, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Technical training and/or industrial related construction estimating experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple estimates.
• Proficient in Google Workspace with spreadsheet and document skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and safety policy compliance.
• Adherence to site safety requirements and health standards.
• No direct health/safety threats in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Work the entire bid life cycle from invitation to proposal submission.
• Coordinate estimating effort for a bid or project and determine scope.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings or bid packages.
• Prepare bid packages for vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Assist in schedule preparation, risk analysis, and management review.
