Job summary

Brose is seeking skilled maintenance specialists to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a fleet of industrial forklifts and material handling equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, identify root causes, and ensure safety and operational standards are met across our portfolio.

Candidates should have welding OEM experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Must have welding, OEM experience, problem solving, hydraulic systems, electrical systems.
• Preferred: diagnostics software and PLC basics.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a fleet of industrial forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and ensure safety/operational standards.
• Read wiring diagrams and schematics; diagnose electrical faults.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic pressure and flow issues; repair and test hydraulic components.
• Communicate repair findings to operators and management; document work.
• Train operators on proper equipment use when needed and seek reliability improvements.

Your Tasks

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a fleet of industrial forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, maintain inventory accuracies, identify root causes of equipment failures, and ensure all equipment meets safety and operational standards.
• Extensive knowledge of forklift systems, including hydraulic systems, electrical systems, drive motors and engines (LP, diesel, and electric), steering and braking systems, and mast and lift mechanisms.
• Ability to diagnose and repair complex equipment issues.
• Identifies root causes rather than treating symptoms.
• Uses diagnostic tools and service manuals effectively.
• Demonstrate systematic problem-solving under pressure.
• Ensures equipment is safe before returning it to service.
• Recognizes and corrects unsafe conditions proactively.
• Experienced in developing and executing PM programs.
• Understands the importance of reducing downtime through proactive maintenance.
• Maintains accurate service records and inspection documentation.
• Thorough during inspections and repairs.
• Sustain inventory accuracy to ensure on-hand availability.
• Identifies wear, leaks, structural damage, and developing failures before they become major issues.
• Completes documentation accurately.
• Takes ownership of equipment repairs.
• Works efficiently to minimize production and logistics disruptions.
• Prioritizes critical repairs appropriately.
• Responds effectively to equipment breakdowns.
