Job summary

Ellwood Texas Forge Houston is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and CNC systems across forging equipment and heat treat/furnace lines. The role includes upgrading installations of new equipment and performing preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize uptime.

Qualified candidates will have experience with heavy forging presses, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and knowledge of pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and welding/fabrication.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with hydraulic/pneumatic/millwright disciplines is desirable.
• Extensive background in Forging Facility maintenance is preferred.
• CNC machine repair experience is a plus.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatics, CNC and troubleshooting skills are required.
• Minimum welding/cutting/fabrication experience for plant maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair presses, manipulators, machine tools, saws and other plant equipment with minimal supervision using safe techniques and schematics.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC machine repairs as required.
• Operate in response to requests by maintenance supervisor or support personnel and set priorities to maximize uptime.
• Gather and maintain tools and diagnostic equipment and use CMMS/EMaint to document work.
• Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve uptime and equipment life.
