Job summary
Ellwood Texas Forge in Houston, TX is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic I (Texas) - 1st Shift to troubleshoot and repair heavy forging equipment and related systems. The role covers repairing machine tools, saws, and furnaces, with responsibilities to install upgrades, perform maintenance, and support production operations with minimal supervision.
Qualified candidates will have experience with forging presses, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and CNC components, plus basic electrical knowledge for
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Certifications in hydraulic/pneumatic/millwright fields are desirable.
- Extensive forging facility maintenance background is expected.
- Experience with CNC machine repair is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair presses, manipulators, machine tools, saws and other plant equipment with minimal supervision.
- Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC repairs as required.
- Operate to maximize equipment uptime and follow priority instructions.
- Maintain tools and use diagnostic devices to identify issues and verify repairs.
- Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Update drawings/prints and document work using CMMS/EMaint and MS Office.
