Job summary

Gore seeks motivated students for a Summer 2027 Internship Program across our Newark, DE; Elkton, MD; Flagstaff, AZ; Phoenix, AZ facilities to support Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing Operations projects. You’ll own a meaningful project, collaborate with Associates, and gain exposure to Gore's culture and ways of working.

Interns typically engage in Lean, value stream mapping, and operations improvement while network-building through events. Hybrid opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in one of the following fields: Industrial Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Industrial & Management Engineering, Industrial & Operations Engineering, Engineering Management, Manufacturing Engineering.
• Successful completion of at least sophomore year prior to the start of the internship.
• Intent to return to school following the internship.
• Ability to commit to a minimum 12-week summer internship.
• Foundational knowledge of industrial engineering principles, Lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies, with experience applying concepts such as process mapping, workflow analysis, and operational excellence through coursework, projects, or internships.
• Ability to adapt effectively to changing situations and priorities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to interpret data, communicate insights, and influence diverse audiences.
