Job summary

The Do It Best Logistics Team is seeking a self-motivated summer intern to join our Analytics effort. The Industrial Engineering & Operations Analytics Intern will help design and build LPOS, supporting data-driven operational excellence across our expanding distribution network.

You must be a current college student pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field, with strong analytical skills and experience in Excel, SQL, Access, or Power BI.

About the Role:

The Do It Best Logistics Team is looking to employ a self-motivated, analytical summer intern that will be paid on an hourly basis. The Industrial Engineering & Operations Analytics Intern will support the Logistics Operations team in designing and building the Do it Best Logistics Performance Operating System (LPOS), an integrated framework that enables data-driven operational excellence across the company’s expanding distribution network.

This is a temporary position beginning in May 2027 and ending in August 2027. This internship is paid on an hourly basis.

No relocation is offered, candidates must be local to the Fort Wayne, Indiana area for the Summer 2027 timeframe.

The Intern may also be able to use this opportunity towards university/college credit.

Education and Experience

• Experience within data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Access and Power BI.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to complete basic statistical analysis (descriptive and inferential)
• Ability to work independently
• Familiar with statistical analysis and troubleshooting
