Job summary

Intuitive is seeking a Manager Industrial Engineering in Sunnyvale, CA, to drive medium-to-large process improvements across manufacturing. You will lead ramp-up activities, improve manufacturability, and oversee line development, lean practices, capacity planning, and six sigma projects.

You will manage an IE team, coordinate with cross-functional partners, and target throughput, cost and quality gains while mentoring staff and maintaining high work standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum BS degree in an engineering discipline (IE/EE/ME).
• Minimum 6+ years of continuous improvement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills to interface with employees at all levels.
• Superior multi-tasking and ability to lead a team to meet concurrent deadlines.
• Familiar with data systems (SAP, SAP HANA, Snowflake, O9) and data reporting (Tableau, Excel).
• Track record of driving process and cultural change.
• Minimal travel required (0–5%).

Responsibilities

• Functional management of the IE team and support for manufacturing.
• Understand production schedules, specs, process flows and methods.
• Plan and lead IE projects to improve throughput, efficiency and quality.
• Mentor and lead/direct reports and cross-functional teams.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive cost-effective initiatives for yield and capacity.
• Design and layout manufacturing buildings and flows; ensure line effectiveness.
• Maintain work standards with time studies and foster a strong team environment.
