Job summary

RTX’s internship/co-op program in Coralville, IA offers hands-on manufacturing roles supporting equipment layouts, process improvements, and cost-reduction studies. You will collaborate with design teams to enhance quality, safety and producibility while designing fixtures and tooling for practical process enhancements.

Pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
Active enrollment through internship or co‑op period.

Responsibilities

Support manufacturing processes, including equipment, floor layouts, work sequences, work instructions and procedures.
Conduct studies on cost control, productivity, cost reduction, inventory and production records.
Review products and processes for quality, safety and producibility risks and collaborate with design teams to mitigate them.
Design and 3D print fixtures and tooling to support process improvements.
Independently resolve complex problems and develop tactical plans for daily challenges.
