Job summary

Qualifications

• Current rising junior or rising senior (grad dates between Dec 2027 - May 2029).
• Pursuing a Bachelors or higher degree in Industrial or Industrial & Systems Engineering.
• Must be able to start internship on May 17th or 24th, 2027 and work for 12 weeks.
• Must have reliable transportation to/from work.

Responsibilities

• Receive mentorship throughout project work to ensure understanding and application of Lean on manufacturing lines and product development.
• Support development and implementation of projects to improve Safety, Ergonomics, Labor Efficiency, WIP, Cycle Time, and Floor Space.
• Understand and sustain Lean principles, tools and systems (Line Balancing, Standard Work, Visual Staffing, 5S, Kaizen).
• Collect and analyze data to guide decision-making.
• Identify and capture value of projects in the Value Improvement Process (VIP).
• Coach others onIndustrial Engineering and Lean concepts; facilitate Lean trainings.
• Assist Engineers with scoping, feasibility studies, and cross-functional continuous-improvement projects.
• Support layout management; apply ergonomic and safety guidelines; align layouts to site plans.
• Build relationships and communicate effectively; act with integrity and collaboration.
• Leverage knowledge and best practices to advance site metrics.
