Job summary

KB Signaling, a subsidiary of Knorr Bremse Group, seeks an Industrial Engineering Intern to support process improvement, data collection, and lean manufacturing initiatives in a manufacturing environment. You will gain hands-on experience and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

You will assist with time studies, work instructions, and documentation while developing problem-solving skills and Excel proficiency. On-site work under the Head of Industrialization will guide your growth.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial engineering principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing process improvement initiatives
  • Collect, analyze, and report production and operational data
  • Assist with time studies and workflow analysis
  • Participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities
  • Support development and maintenance of work instructions and process documentation
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance
  • Support capacity planning and production line optimization efforts
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities
  • Assist with layout planning and material flow improvements
  • Support implementation of standard work and visual management practices
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams
  • Assist with tracking project progress and documenting results
  • Support health, safety, and environmental initiatives
  • Perform other engineering-related duties as assigned
