Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality management tools.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and safety teams to develop and implement process enhancements.
  • Collect and interpret data to measure the impact of improvement initiatives and report findings to management.
  • Facilitate training and workshops to educate employees on continuous improvement principles and practices.
  • Develop standardized work procedures and documentation to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Monitor KPIs and recommend corrective actions to maintain process improvements.
  • Support change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and technologies.

About the Role:

The Continuous Improvement Coordinator plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence within a manufacturing environment by identifying, developing, and implementing process improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. This position is responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze current workflows, gather data, and recommend actionable solutions that reduce waste and optimize resource utilization. The coordinator will lead continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to foster a culture of ongoing enhancement and innovation. By monitoring key performance indicators and facilitating training sessions, the role ensures that improvements are sustainable and aligned with organizational goals. Ultimately, the Continuous Improvement Coordinator contributes to the company’s competitive advantage by promoting best practices and supporting a high-performance manufacturing operation across multiple sites in the United States.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on process improvement.
  • Proficiency in Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance in manufacturing.
  • Project management experience with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis techniques.
