Job summary

Rohrer Corporation seeks a Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement Engineer to lead cross‑functional initiatives at the Wadsworth, OH site. The role focuses on safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements through Lean tools and structured problem solving.

You will coach teams, run Kaizen events, and develop standardized work and visual management while tracking tangible results and ensuring sustainability. This is a hybrid, full-time opportunity with up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement in a manufacturing environment.

  • Comfortable coaching leaders and teams in Lean methods.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory reduction, and productivity improvements.
  • Analyze operations to identify waste, cycle time reduction, capacity improvements, and increased efficiency.
  • Develop and execute site continuous improvement strategies aligned with objectives and priorities.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, improvement workshops, and cross-functional problem-solving with measurable impact.
  • Coach leaders, supervisors, and teams in Lean methodologies to foster accountability and engagement.
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes using industrial engineering principles and Lean tools to drive sustained improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop standardized work, visual management systems, and operational playbooks to improve consistency.
  • Establish meaningful metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools to monitor progress and validate results.
  • Lead change management by communicating vision and expected outcomes and securing buy-in.
  • Serve as trusted advisor to plant leadership on operational excellence strategies and improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in production, quality, and operational review meetings to identify opportunities and remove barriers.

Description

Provide visible leadership and technicalexpertisein Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence initiatives that drive measurable and sustainable business results.

Partner with leaders and employees at all levels of the organization toidentifyopportunities, challenge the status quo, and implement solutions that improve operational performance, customer experience, and financial outcomes.

  • Lead andfacilitatecontinuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory reduction, and productivity improvements.
  • Analyze current operations, workflows, and business processes toidentifyopportunities for waste elimination, cycle time reduction, capacity improvement, and increased efficiency.
  • Develop and execute site continuous improvement strategies aligned with organizationalobjectivesand operational priorities.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, improvement workshops, and cross-functional problem-solving activities that generate measurable business impact.
  • Coach, train, and mentor leaders, supervisors, and team members in Lean methodologies, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
