Job summary

Malvern Panalytical in Norcross, GA, seeks a Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive Lean initiatives across manufacturing by leading Kaizen events, optimizing workflows, and analyzing performance. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related technical field.
  • 3-5 years of Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.
  • Experience with Six Sigma methodologies and statistical analysis techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events and apply Lean tools including 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, and Visual Management.
  • Analyze production data, conduct time studies, and identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and workflow.
  • Design and implement process, layout, and material flow improvements that increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Partner with Production, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams to deliver sustainable operational improvements.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve recurring manufacturing issues.
  • Support new product introductions, capacity planning, and inventory optimization initiatives.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs while ensuring improvements are sustained through training, audits, and standardized work.
  • Promote a safe working environment by following company policies and supporting a culture of operational excellence.

About the role

As a Continuous Improvement Engineer , you’ll play a key role in driving operational excellence across our manufacturing operations by leading Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Engineering teams, you’ll identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost while creating more efficient and sustainable manufacturing processes.

  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.
  • Experience with Six Sigma methodologies and statistical analysis techniques.
