This position is for an Industrial Engineer Tech (Onsite) at our Coralville manufacturing location. This position will provide technical support to Operations in the form of enabling and improving the flow of manufacturing utilizing the disciplines of industrial engineering. This individual will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing and production process to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality for programs such as CRIIS, TCTS2 and THAAD. This role also in the lead FOD focal point for the area, provides continuous process and quality improvements and well as ensure the safety and welfare for 30+ production team members.
We are also dependent on this role to use project management expertise, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives to support the transition of new production. Successful candidates will be self-motivated self-starter with excellent teaming abilities and who is familiar with electronics manufacturing processes, root cause analysis, and CORE/Lean/Six Sigma practices.
What You Will Do
- Define and implement technical solutions within a manufacturing environment.
- Collaborate with design engineering to integrate changes that enhance manufacturability.
- Develop tools to facilitate manufacturing, support process enhancements, and address safety considerations.
- Contribute to the advancement of new methodologies, techniques, and standards.
- Determine optimal sequencing of operations, maximizing utilization of personnel.
- Solve complex problems through data analysis and innovative approaches.
- Innovate new assembly processes and enhance existing methodologies.
- Manage medium-complexity cross-functional projects from initiation to completion.
- Estimate project timelines and assist in proposal and presentation preparations.
- Implement novel approaches to achieve continuous improvement across engineering disciplines.
- Adapt job duties as necessary to meet evolving organizational needs.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

The salary range for this role is 50,000 USD - 100,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
