Job summary

Jabil is seeking an Industrial Engineering Technician II to support the startup of a new factory in Prince George, VA. The on-site role will help build operations, layout the factory, and create process flows and work instructions from the ground up.

The candidate will perform industrial engineering tasks including line moves, data entry in IEDB, and updating production visuals. Strong attention to detail and basic analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Familiar with industrial engineering tools (work measurement, process mapping, facilities/workstation design).
• Strong attention to detail when updating systems.
• Basic analytical and communication skills; PC proficiency with Visio/Project.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of an area for a line move or process change.
• Update the Product-Process-Time database (IEDB) as directed by the Industrial Engineer.
• Update/Create production visuals, as directed by the Industrial Engineer.
• Order, receive and validate tooling, as directed by the Industrial Engineer.
• Ensure the standardization of Jabil processes across the site.
• Support Lean by maintaining data integrity for process improvement.
• Follow all security procedures; perform other duties as assigned.

This role is to support anew factory in Prince George, VA (onsite) startup manufacturing large form-factor equipment. The product will be large (shipping container size), heavy (50+ tons), and complex. This position will be part of the core factory startup and onboarding team responsible for building the operations and manufacturing staff, fitting out the building, and creating the process flow/work instructions/etc. from the ground up.Skills to include: panel and point to point wire assembly, Medium Voltage, Low Voltage, and High Power Electronic assemblies.

Shift A: Mon - Fri (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)

Job Summary

Industrial Engineering Technician II supports the Industrial Engineering team in planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining integrated production and service delivery systems that drive performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence, and cost efficiency within the manufacturing site. The primary focus of this role is assisting with production layout and process improvements, as well as maintaining and entering data in Industrial Engineering systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of an area for a line move or process change
• Update the Product-Process-Time database (IEDB), as directed by the Industrial Engineer
• Update/Create production Visuals, as directed by the Industrial Engineer
• Order, receive and validate tooling, as directed by the Industrial Engineer
• Insure the standardization of Jabil processes throughout the site in accordance with the global, regional and site direction
• Support the Lean organization by maintaining a solid process foundation and data integrity in order to support process improvement through the organization
• Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma
• Understanding and application of broad range of industrial engineering tools (ie. Work measurement, process mapping, facilities and workstation design, etc.)
• Eye for detail when updating systems
• Basic analytical ability
• Basic communication skills
• Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD skills required.

The hourly pay range for this role is $21.73 - $39.13.
