Job summary

Jabil in Prince George, VA is seeking an Industrial Engineering Technician II to support the startup of a new factory, onsite. You will help design production layouts, implement processes, and assist in building the operations team from the ground up.

The role focuses on data entry in IE systems, creating visuals, and aligning processes with global standards, while working the 2:00 PM–10:30 PM shift; eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship is required.

Qualifications

• Insure the standardization of Jabil processes throughout the site in accordance with the global, regional and site direction.
• Support the Lean organization by maintaining a solid process foundation and data integrity in order to support process improvement through the organization.
• Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job description

On-site at our Prince George, VA facility.

This role is to support anew factory in Prince George, VA (onsite) startup manufacturing large form-factor equipment. The product will be large (shipping container size), heavy (50+ tons), and complex. This position will be part of the core factory startup and onboarding team responsible for building the operations and manufacturing staff, fitting out the building, and creating the process flow/work instructions/etc. from the ground up. Skills to include: panel and point to point wire assembly, Medium Voltage, Low Voltage, and High Power Electronic assemblies.

Shift B: Mon - Fri (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM)

Job Summary

Industrial Engineering Technician II supports the Industrial Engineering team in planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining integrated production and service delivery systems that drive performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence, and cost efficiency within the manufacturing site. • Understanding and application of broad range of industrial engineering tools (ie. Work measurement, process mapping, facilities and workstation design, etc.)
• Eye for detail when updating systems
• Basic analytical ability

• Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD skills required.
