Job summary

Siemens AG is seeking an Industrial Engineer for our PACS facility in Wendell, NC. You will design and optimize manufacturing processes, balancing hands-on shop floor support with analytics to improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.

You will drive standardized work, tooling and fixture design, capital equipment justification, and digital manufacturing initiatives to enhance factory performance and customer delivery. Relo assistance available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in manufacturing/industrial engineering or continuous improvement within a production environment.
• Experience with time studies, labor analysis, process mapping, and workflow optimization.
• Lean tools knowledge: 5S, value stream mapping, RC analysis, waste elimination, standard work.
• Experience supporting production via process improvement, tooling, or manufacturing projects.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to collaborate across functions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and engineering data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, improve, and scale manufacturing processes for PACS protection and automation panels.
• Collaborate with production, quality, planning, engineering, and leadership to improve safety, quality, and delivery.
• Establish manufacturing standards and drive continuous improvements on the shop floor.
• Lead digital manufacturing initiatives, including work instructions and data dashboards.
• Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and product transfers.
• Develop fixtures, tooling, and material flow improvements to boost efficiency and reduce waste.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma methods to reduce waste and improve throughput.
