Job summary

Castelion is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Engineer to design and scale manufacturing systems for mechanical assemblies. You will own the systems-level view of production, model capacity, balance lines, define standard work, and build metrics to measure factory performance.

The role sits at the intersection of process engineering and program execution, translating production data into decisions about equipment, staffing, and layout to scale from prototype builds to high-rate production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in manufacturing, production, or experimental environment with process or capacity analysis.

Responsibilities

• Model production capacity and takt time to inform staffing, equipment, and layout decisions.
• Develop and maintain process flow diagrams, value stream maps, and factory layouts.
• Conduct time studies and line balancing to establish standard work.
• Partner with design engineering for DFM/DFA feedback for manufacturability at scale.
• Build and maintain production metrics like OEE and throughput; drive root-cause investigations.
• Lead capacity studies and PFMEAs for new/existing processes; translate risk into controls.
• Define manufacturing standards and inspection requirements with quality engineering.
• Support make/buy and automation investments with data-driven capacity and cost models.
• Collaborate across design, quality, supply chain, procurement, and program management to align plans.
