Job summary

Castelion Corporation in Torrance, CA, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead day-to-day production of precision mechanisms and to develop scalable processes for thousands of units per year.

You will create build instructions, test procedures, and safety standards while collaborating with supply chain to source and qualify suppliers. This role demands hands-on tooling design and active participation in design reviews for manufacturability.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of manufacturing, fabrication, assembly or testing experience or heavy involvement in university design teams.
• Requires knowledge of manufacturing processes and ability to apply design for manufacturability (DFM).
• Willingness to extend hours and travel up to 50% is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day production of mechanisms such as the Castelion separation system and Launchers.
• Develop process and factory design to scale production to thousands of units per year.
• Develop and refine process documentation including build instructions, test procedures, safety standards, and mBOMs.
• Create, maintain and communicate detailed plans and schedules.
• Work closely with supply chain to develop new and existing suppliers.
• Design and validate tooling.
• Participate in design reviews to drive design for manufacturing (DFM).
