Job summary

Overhead Door is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, develop, test, and optimize integrated production systems. You will coordinate quality control activities and evaluate costs associated with design changes to keep operations efficient.

The role requires strong analytical skills, time-study experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Excel. You may work on a team or independently with occasional overtime and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• BA degree in a technical or scientific discipline, engineering preferred, with 2–5 years of experience.
• Experience conducting time studies to determine labor costs in manufacturing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing production processes.
• Coordinate quality control objectives to resolve production problems and minimize cost.
• Estimate production cost and assess design changes for management review.
• Record and oversee documentation to keep engineering drawings up to date.
• Analyze data and specifications to set quality and reliability goals for finished products.
• Develop methods, labor standards, and cost analysis systems to improve utilization.
• Regulate workflow schedules to meet lead times and optimize production operations.
• Recommend methods to improve utilization of personnel and materials.
• Work flexible shifts, including occasional overtime, as needed.
