Job summary

Infojini Inc in Whitakers, NC is seeking a Mechanical/Industrial Engineer to assist in designing and improving integrated manufacturing systems. You will support sequence cart design, rack audits, storage optimization, and cross-functional collaboration to drive process documentation and PFEP updates.

Candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and will apply Operations Excellence principles and continuous improvement tools to develop and implement logistics

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design, improvement, and installation of integrated systems combining people, materials, information, equipment and energy.
• Support EMF with sequence cart design and coordinate with vendors from design through production.
• Assist with rack parts audits and optimize plant storage space.
• Support storage identification processes and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Assist in developing and maintaining process documentation for ongoing projects.
• Support PFEP documentation and updates.
• Contribute by applying Operations Excellence principles and practices at Cummins.
• Assist the work by utilizing continuous improvement tools and developing logistics standards and working methods.
• Identify real issues and opportunities, develop prioritized improvement initiatives and guide to implementation.
• Contribute to growth opportunities for internal plant functions to improve customer outcomes.
