Job summary

Cosma International is seeking a packaging engineer to support MST commercial teams and develop packaging concepts for production layouts. You will work across departments to optimize packaging, generate technical documents, and ensure alignment with design requirements.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, process improvement, and adherence to quality standards within Magna's packaging initiatives. A strong focus on cost efficiency and timely delivery is expected.

Responsibilities

• Support MST commercial team Sales in quoting potential new business.
• Maintain current plant floor layouts in AutoCAD. Develop proposed plant floor layouts in AutoCAD to support new business opportunities.
• Work with the MST Program Manager to establish and achieve timelines for packaging delivery based on pre-series build phases and start of production (SOP).
• Coordinate with the MST Program Team to review all finished good rack designs relative to the design of the production location and provide feedback to the customer during development of packaging.
• Review customer loop days for all finished goods considering MST requirements for storage and internal production/logistics processes. Provide feedback to the customer and elevate any areas of concern to the MST Program Team.
• Analyze MST processes and product specifications to determine the packaging type (materials and size) based on physical characteristics, special handling needs, safety and ergonomics requirements, and quality standards.
