Job summary

Zaddy Solutions in Decorah, Iowa is seeking an Industrial Engineer to lead identification of process bottlenecks and apply lean principles to improve product flow and reduce WIP, guiding IE operators and technicians.

You will drive site lean activities (5S, standard work, visual management), develop capacity models, time standards, and lead capital projects with vendor selection. Collaborate with site leadership to drive a continuous improvement roadmap and best-in-class performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering - Industrial Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of Industrial Engineering experience.
• Industrial Services data collection, root cause analysis, and practical problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to apply throughput improvement processes.
• Knowledge of LEAN principles.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written/oral communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to be flexible in shifting priorities and focusing on critical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement site lean activities such as 5S, standard work, visual management, pace to takt, value stream mapping, Kaizen, and 8D to drive out waste and improve productivity.
• Foster CI culture and develop facility leads, supervisors, and managers by being a proactive change agent.
• Standardize and optimize manufacturing processes, sequences, layouts, and flow.
• Lead and track continuous improvement across manufacturing and office functions.
• Develop detailed plans, drive project performance, and ensure timely completion of improvement projects and savings goals.
• Design equipment layouts, workflow, and safety to maximize facility utilization.
• Own equipment capital expenditures including design, vendor selection, procurement, and implementation.
• Collaborate with Operations Manager and Site Leadership to map a CI roadmap for best-in-class performance.
• Lead creation and enhancement of capacity modeling, production planning tools, and time standards.
