Job summary
The AMES Companies, Inc. in Ocala, FL seeks an Industrial Engineer to improve productivity, quality, safety, and costs through process optimization. You will collaborate with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain and Product Management to drive operational excellence.
You will lead in work measurement, lean manufacturing, plant layouts, capital projects, labor planning, and cost analysis while aiming to eliminate waste and support growth in a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
- 3–5 years manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience with labor standards, time studies, facility layouts, and process improvement initiatives.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel; CAD software experience (AutoCAD/SolidWorks) desirable.
Responsibilities
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for productivity, quality, safety, and cost improvements.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase throughput and reduce waste.
- Establish and maintain standard work procedures and best practices.
- Lead cross-functional improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
