Job summary

The AMES Companies, Inc. in Ocala, FL is seeking an Industrial Engineer to improve manufacturing productivity, quality, safety, capacity, and cost through analysis, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes.

This role serves as a key link across Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Management to support operational excellence. You will lead in work measurement, standardization, lean manufacturing, plant layout design, labor planning, cost

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related engineering discipline.
3–5 years of manufacturing experience in high-volume environments preferred.
Experience with labor standards, time studies, facility layouts, and process improvement.
Technical skills: Excel (Advanced), Word, PowerPoint; Project management software; CAD software.

Responsibilities

Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for productivity, quality, safety, and cost improvements.
Develop and implement process improvements that increase throughput and reduce waste.
Establish and maintain standard work procedures and best practices.
Lead continuous improvement projects utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Support root cause investigations and corrective action implementation.
Develop labor utilization reports and recommendations for management.
