Mueller Water Products, Inc. in Decatur, Illinois is seeking a full-time Industrial Engineer to work onsite at the manufacturing facility.

You will analyze and improve processes, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and safety. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in industrial/manufacturing engineering and 2 years of related experience, with expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, CAD (AutoCAD), and ERP/MRP tools like Power BI and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
2 years of experience in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related roles.
Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
CAD tools such as AutoCAD for layout design and process simulation.
ERP/MRP systems and data analytics tools like Power BI and Tableau.
Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

Analyze and improve manufacturing processes, workflows, and layouts to boost efficiency, quality, and safety.
Develop and implement time studies, process maps, and value stream analyses to identify bottlenecks.
Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to drive improvements.
Design standardized work procedures, layouts, and process documentation.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) to reduce waste and cost.
Evaluate tools, equipment, and automation to improve efficiency and throughput.
Track KPIs, prepare reports, and present findings to leadership.
Support training of staff on new processes or improvements.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
