Job summary

Mueller Water Products in Decatur, IL, is seeking a full-time Industrial Engineer to improve manufacturing processes onsite. You will lead time studies, process mapping, and value stream analyses to identify bottlenecks and drive lean improvements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement standardized work and new layouts while tracking KPIs. Experience with Lean/Six Sigma, CAD/ERP tools, and data analytics is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Two years of manufacturing/industrial engineering experience.
  • Proficiency with Lean and Six Sigma methods.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and improve manufacturing processes, workflows, and layouts to boost efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Develop time studies, process maps, and value stream analyses to identify bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to drive improvements.
  • Lead standardized work procedures, equipment layouts, and process documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) to reduce waste and raise throughput.
  • Evaluate tools, equipment, and automation to enhance efficiency.

Also required experience in the following:* 2 years of industrial or manufacturing engineering* Process analysis tools and methods such as Lean and Six Sigma* CAD tools such as AutoCAD for layout design and process simulation software* ERP/MRP systems and data analytics tools such as Power BI and Tableau* High-volume manufacturing or assembly environments* Safety standards and ergonomics in manufacturing settings**Salary/Pay Range:**$81,630.02-$188,244.00The compensation range above reflects a good-faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment as of the date of posting.
