Job summary

Gradian Thermal Solutions, an engineering-led provider of cooling technologies, is seeking an Industrial Engineer to improve manufacturing efficiency in a Dayton, MN production environment. You will analyze processes, labor standards, material flow, and layouts to optimize HVAC equipment while upholding quality and safety requirements.

Partnering with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain, you will lead Lean initiatives, establish labor standards, conduct time studies, and develop

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (HVAC, heavy equipment, or engineered products preferred).
• Experience supporting assembly lines, fabrication, or configurable products.
• Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and manufacturing data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Lean initiatives including Kaizen, value stream mapping, and 5S.
• Conduct time studies and establish labor standards for production operations.
• Design and improve plant layouts to optimize material flow and safety.
• Develop and maintain KPIs such as labor efficiency and throughput.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, Supply Chain, and Maintenance.
