Job summary

Aptiv is seeking an Industrial Engineer in Garden Grove, CA to optimize manufacturing processes and drive continuous improvement across cable and wire harness assembly operations. You will collaborate across Production, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to reduce waste and establish best-in-class standards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in industrial engineering within manufacturing, with experience in lean methods and reading engineering drawings.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of industrial engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies.
Experience reading engineering drawings and Technical Data Packages (TDPs).
Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620, J-STD-001, AS9100 or similar standards.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

Analyze and optimize production workflows and layouts to maximize throughput.
Develop and maintain standard work instructions, process flows, and assembly guides.
Conduct time and motion studies, capacity analyses and value stream mapping.
Monitor OEE, scrap, rework, and labor efficiency and drive improvements.
Lead ergonomic and workplace-organization initiatives for safety and quality.
