Job summary
Medtronic is seeking an Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer to deploy the Medtronic Performance System (MPS) across manufacturing operations. You will analyze workflows, optimize layouts, and apply Lean/TPS principles to improve throughput and labor efficiency, while developing data-driven dashboards in Power BI to support operational decisions.
You will leverage SAP, SolidWorks, Creo, and AutoCAD for capacity planning and line balancing, with a focus on moving from batch to single-piece flow in
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering with at least 1 year of experience in medical devices.
- Experience with DMAIC, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and TPS, including standardized work and value stream mapping.
- Experience with DOE, regression analysis, and SPC.
- Experience with ERP and CAD platforms (SAP, SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD).
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deploy the Medtronic Performance System (MPS) across manufacturing operations.
- Analyze and optimize workflows, layouts, and sequencing to improve throughput and labor efficiency.
- Develop analytics and dashboards (Power BI) to support data-driven decisions.
- Apply Lean and TPS tools (VSM, standardized work, Kanban) for batch-to-single-piece flow transitions.
- Use DOE, regression, and SPC to improve process capability and simulate line configurations.
- Perform capacity planning and line balancing using CAD-based layout tools.
