Job summary

Siemens Energy, Inc. in Orlando is seeking an Industrial Engineer to drive site productivity and lean operations within our Gas Services business.

You will analyze current warehouse workflows, design optimized layouts using CAD, and manage the implementation of changes from planning to completion. You will collaborate with Operations, Facilities, and IT, build data-driven case studies, and contribute to safety through ergonomic studies in partnership with our EHS team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years experience in a Logistics Center or similar high-volume environment.
• Strong communication & decision-making skills.
• Lean Six Sigma certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current warehouse workflows, material handling processes, and space utilization to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
• Design and develop optimized logistics center layouts using CAD software to improve operational flow, storage density, and support growth.
• Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including value stream maps and process flow diagrams for current and future state operations.
• Work with the EHS team to support ergonomic studies and ensure safe, efficient workflows.
• Manage optimization projects independently from conception through implementation within timelines and budgets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Facilities, and IT to ensure seamless execution of layout changes and new processes.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, support data-driven decision making, and uncover new optimization opportunities.
