Job summary

KPIT is seeking an Industrial Engineer in San Antonio, TX, with 0.5 to 2 years of experience in industrial engineering, process improvement, time studies, and line balancing. You will analyze manufacturing processes, establish labor standards using MOST and PMTS, and lead productivity initiatives.

Responsibilities include equipment specification, installation, relocation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or process engineering environments.
• Strong knowledge of MOST, PMTS (Predetermined Motion Time System), time studies, and work measurement techniques.
• Hands-on experience with line balancing and production optimization.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Experience in equipment installation, relocation, and process validation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Scope manufacturing challenges and lead brainstorming/problem-solving activities.
• Develop equipment specifications and support equipment selection.
• Manage equipment relocation, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Support quoting, procurement, and purchasing processes.
• Perform line balancing to optimize production efficiency and throughput.
• Conduct MOST analysis and time studies to establish labor standards.
• Drive continuous improvement and productivity enhancement initiatives.
• Validate tools, equipment, and manufacturing processes against target performance metrics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and process implementation.
