The position requires a Bachelor's in Engineering (Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical) and 2–3 years in IE/manufacturing, with limited travel to OH and SE Michigan.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
  • 2–3 years of Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing operations experience.
  • Travel limited to OH & SE Michigan.
  • Knowledge of time studies, setting up workstations, line balancing.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Lead new model labor optimization to meet labor targets via benchmarking, target setting, tracking changes, and replication across programs/plants.
  • Support cycle line layout planning and virtual build events with future model operator allocations and time studies.
  • Minimize labor impacts through Kaizen, plant tasks/projects, and design/process opportunities.
  • Assist with operator allocations, cycle line layouts, plant rebalances, line speed changes, and time studies.
  • Accurately maintain and deliver Machining META and Gear & PCA dotmaps.
  • Complete and evaluate time studies using MODAPTS as the measurement tool for work standards.
  • Collaborate with IE staff, manufacturing engineering, material handling, ergonomics, and plant personnel.
  • Scope includes Sharonville Transmission Plant programs with support for Powertrain facilities in North America.
