Job summary

Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, seeks an Industrial Engineer Intern to support process improvements in a high-volume manufacturing setting at Blytheville, AR. You’ll analyze production data, perform time studies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce waste and improve plant processes.

You will report to the Assistant Plant Manager and gain hands-on experience with engineering tools and KPIs in a full-time on-site internship from May 2027 through August 2027.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering field (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Materials Science or Systems).
• Strong written and verbal communication; detail-oriented and analytical.
• Willing to travel for the Internship Summit; authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Analyze yield data to identify trends and maximize profitability.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and finance to investigate root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and manage Excel documents to support data tracking and reporting.
• Propose and develop process improvements to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
• Conduct time studies to support KPI development and measure equipment capacity.
• Maintain accurate daily records of observations, data, and findings.
• Summarize findings and present actionable recommendations to site leadership.
