Job summary

Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, seeks an Industrial Engineer Intern for our Blytheville, AR Jumbo Mill on-site. You will contribute to key process-improvement projects, analyze production data, perform time studies, and help reduce waste in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You will report to the Assistant Plant Manager and gain real-world exposure to engineering tools and KPIs. The internship runs May 24, 2027 through August 13, 2027.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in a related engineering field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Analyze prime net yield data to identify trends and maximize production profitability
• Issue root cause analysis with production, quality, and finance teams
• Prepare and manage Excel documents to support data tracking and reporting
• Develop process-improvement techniques to reduce waste and boost efficiency
• Conduct time studies across production stages to support KPI development
• Measure outputs to determine equipment capacity and bottlenecks
• Maintain daily records of observations and data
