Prolec-GE Waukesha, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Engineer Intern to support manufacturing and operations teams in boosting productivity, efficiency, and process reliability.

You will assist with process analysis, data collection, workflow improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives in a heavy manufacturing environment. Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA and at least two years of undergraduate coursework.
• Experience or coursework with ERP/MRP systems and data analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for productivity gains.
• Support time studies, work sampling, and labor analysis to develop labor standards.
• Collect and analyze production data related to throughput and cycle time.
• Help map processes and document workflows in manufacturing.
• Support Lean initiatives (5S, waste reduction, standard work).
• Develop and update work instructions and visual management tools.
• Assist with plant layout reviews and material flow analysis.
• Participate in problem-solving for production, quality, or process issues.
• Support data analysis and reporting on operational performance metrics.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and supply chain on improvement projects.
• Assist with special projects in process improvements, cost reduction, or capacity planning.
