Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an Industrial Engineering Intern to join our summer internship program in Asheville, NC. You will work with a team of Industrial Engineers to optimize manufacturing operations, focusing on quality, reliability, speed, and asset utilization.

This role involves data-driven design of production lines and collaboration across IE, Manufacturing Operations, Analytics, and Quality. You will participate in a 12-week in-person internship, contribute to capacity planning,

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or any related field.
• Must be returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one quarter or semester.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities; U.S. clearance eligibility may be required depending on program.
• Ability to complete an in-person 12-week internship in one of our offices in summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead projects to optimize and improve systems, processes, and manufacturing operations, leveraging a data driven approach.
• Proactively identify opportunities for improvement including high variation processes, imbalances and bottlenecks caused by line layout, equipment constraints, staffing shortages. Work with the appropriate owners across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality to prioritize and drive to resolution.
• Translate and drive action from metrics, KPIs, and reporting associated with production line health and efficiency, such as cycle time, throughput rate, capacity, utilization, and first pass yield.
• Produce and maintain capacity plans, balanced line layouts, staffing allocations, and time standards for manufacturing work content.
• Work across domains, from execution-based work to the strategic future state of a product or business line.
