Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking an Industrial Engineer III to analyze, design, and optimize manufacturing processes. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives, lead Kaizen events, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new processes and technologies.

The role demands extensive Lean expertise, hands-on production floor work, and proficiency with SIMIO, AutoCAD/SolidWorks, and data analysis tools to deliver measurable cost and efficiency gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of manufacturing experience.
• Advanced Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
• Experience on production floor ≥80% of time.
• Experience with SIMIO and CAD tools (AutoCAD/SolidWorks).
• Proven data analysis and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing production processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and potential improvements.
• Develop and implement Lean improvements and Kaizen events.
• Create capacity models and use Digital Twin simulations for modeling and optimization.
• Lead visual management and real-time data displays across lines/shifts.
• Perform time studies, waste observations, and track cost savings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to sustain and scale improvements.
