Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking an Industrial Engineer 2, Supply Chain to apply industrial engineering discipline across fulfillment centers and distribution centers, partnering with leadership to deliver process improvements and automation that simplify workflows.

You will collect data, perform complex analyses, and leverage Lean Six Sigma to optimize operations for small to medium projects. Responsibilities include time/motion studies, standard work, AutoCAD layouts, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years’ Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• AutoCAD, simulation, and SQL query experience highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs complex data analysis to drive continuous improvement ideas.
• Leverages Lean Six Sigma to optimize operations for small to medium scope projects.
• Performs time and motion studies and develops insights to improve productivity.
• Leads Standard Work initiatives in collaboration with operations and continuous improvement teams.
• Develops knowledge of distribution and fulfillment best practices and engineering standards.
• Creates AutoCAD layouts for space planning and process design.
• Analyzes methods for optimal operations and evaluates alternatives for processes and equipment.
• Works with operations, product management, and other partners to deliver data driven solutions.
• Manages medium complexity projects using project management methodologies.
• Develops skills in discrete simulation and capacity analysis.
